MVG-web3.jpgFrench publisher Editions Sainte-Madeleine has just published two interesting new items, one of which had been expected for years:

And since the Holly week is now ahead of us, mention should be made of the 2009 reedition of the Holly week book containing all the offices with texts in latin and french, as well as gregorian tunes. Very helpfull to those attending Easter celebrations, be they once-in-a-year penants or regular choir members.

 
New edition of the gregorian whole series Print E-mail

alcg-complet_600.jpgWith this volume 11, the remastering of the reviewed and completed whole series takes a new step forward. From now on, all volumes are set in the new version; the recordings of volumes 2 to 7, performed between 1998 and 2000, were left unchanged, while those of volumes 1, 8, 9, 10 & 11 have been either remastered or totally renewed between october 2008 and today.

To those persons having bought a gregorian whole series since january 2009 and thus having two different editions in one set, we are offering an exchange that will allow for greater set consistency.

A new section for priests Print E-mail
SinceMissel1_200.jpg Pope Benedict XVI's motu proprio Summorum Pontificum came into force, more and more priests wish to make use of the liturgical books of 1962. In an effort to give greater access to those books, we welcome you to a new section of our site, that contains both the books themselves (missal, breviary, ritual) and the necessary pedagogical means.

New: volume 11 - Requiem Print E-mail

This DIGIPack-ALCG11.pngnew record contains the whole funeral ceremony, from taking the body from the house to the burrial, and includes the lovely In paradisum and Ego sum resurrectio et vita antiennes, without forgetting the Requiem mass and its Dies irae.

Also included is the mass for a wedding. All wrapped up in nice organ music by J.S. Bach on an Aubertin instrument. Handbook with explanations on the origines of this mass.
