Since Pope Benedict XVI's motu proprio Summorum Pontificum came into force, more and more priests wish to make use of the liturgical books of 1962. In an effort to give greater access to those books, we welcome you to a new section of our site, that contains both the books themselves (missal, breviary, ritual) and the necessary pedagogical means.
It is a synthesis of the roman Gradual and Vesperal. It contains the gregorian partitions for all the masses and most of the office. For a long time, it was the reference book for the Schola.
We have found a stock of those books, in an excellent state (1962 edition)
This chart reflects the site philosophy: to give those who are interested some concrete elements to allow them to grow in the knowledge and practice of sacred music. Our presentation brings texts and audio samples together in order to give the visitor a ears-on approach of the music at stake. Each theme is linked to a folder containing one or several records.
This chart is continually updated. You may already find a certain number of folders and their corresponding records.

Our site offers you a service to be found nowhere else, neither at FNAC nor in a shop : inventories and listenings of disk extracts which allow you to purchase only the music you appreciate.
Why should one write new polyphonies when there are so many around already ?
There are many indeed. For instance Palestrina wrote many motets based
on the texts of Temporal masses.. However, who has heard of them ?
Palestrina’s total works, in 32 volumes, do exist, as published by the
Italian Institute for Historical Music, but they are not for sale.
